Summary
How a raid runs from lobby to boss floor: parties, exhaust, Multis and Ults, raid levels, Mymic ranks, item effects and drops. How raids work: floors of Mymics, raid levels from Tutor to 3★, Regular, Elite and Boss ranks, exhaust, and how drops work per kill.
  1. Removed: A raid is a climb through floors of Mymics, the game's monsters, that ends on a boss. The game also calls raids dungeons, and you start one from the Kiosk menu. Most items in the game come out of a raid, and raids are the only mode where the effect text printed on an item actually does anything.
  2. Removed:
  3. Removed: {{mymics: 77=Frogi, 80=Luna, 18=Tapioca, 15=Novoxia}}
  4. Removed:
  5. Removed: ## How a raid is laid out
  6. Removed:
  7. Removed: An ordinary raid has six floors, with the boss waiting on floor 6. The floors before it are filled with smaller Mymics: Regulars on the early floors and Elites further up. In a 1★ raid, floors 1 and 2 hold Regulars such as Shermie, Frazzle and Detektiv, floor 3 brings a low-level Elite like Almaz or Siraj, floor 4 more Regulars, and floor 5 a tougher Elite such as Iris or Sunflower. Then the boss.
  8. Added: A raid, also called a dungeon, is a run of floors of Mymics, the game's monsters. You find raids under Kiosk. Raids are where most items come from.
  9.
  10. Removed: Tutor raids, added in update 5.0, are shorter. They have four floors, with a Tutor boss on floor 4.
  11. Added: {{mymics: 77=Frogi, 78=Mud, 79=Lotzie, 80=Luna}}
  12.
  13. Removed: The boss a lobby is built around is its lobby boss. A 1★ lobby for Novoxia ends on Novoxia, and a 3★ lobby for Luna ends on Luna. [Raid levels](wiki:raid-levels) goes through what each level holds, floor by floor.
  14. Added: ## Floors and parties
  15.
  16. Removed: ## Solo or Team Up
  17. Added: An ordinary raid has six floors, with the boss on floor 6. A Tutor raid has its boss on floor 4.
  18.
  19. Removed: You can raid alone or open a Team Up lobby for up to four raiders. Going in costs a Dungeon Pass, and joining a lobby from far away also takes a Remote Raid Pass.
  20. Added: You can go solo or Team Up in a lobby of up to four raiders. Joining from far away needs a Remote Raid Pass, and going in needs a Dungeon Pass.
  21.
  22. Removed: A Mymic's HP doesn't grow with the party. Luna has 300,000 HP whether one player is hitting her or four, so a full lobby brings four rosters to the same pool of HP.
  23. Added: A Mymic's HP doesn't grow with the party. Four raiders face the same HP as one.
  24.
  25. ## Exhaust
  26.
  27. Removed: Each raider brings their top 30 balls and can field up to five of them on a floor. A ball attacks once and is then **exhausted** for the rest of the raid. A ball you didn't field on a floor is still fresh on the next one, so most raid planning comes down to spending weak balls on easy floors and keeping your best for the boss.
  28. Removed:
  29. Removed: Some items and effects bring a ball back, which the game calls **unexhausting**. Sandspire Crown reads "On hit: Unexhaust 2 random Polbies (once per floor)". Some bosses push the other way. Frogi's Judgment adds a stack whenever a ball above 8,000 CP attacks it, and at 5 stacks it exhausts every ball you have left. [Exhaust and unexhaust](wiki:exhaust-and-unexhaust) lists both sides.
  30. Added: Each raider brings their top 30 balls and fields up to five on a floor. A ball attacks once per raid and is then exhausted, unless an effect unexhausts it. A ball you didn't use on a floor can still be fielded later.
  31.
  32. Removed: ## Multis and Ults
  33. Added: You also get three Multis and Ults in total for the whole raid, not per floor. A Multi hits three random living Mymics, or all of them if three or fewer are left. An Ult hits one Mymic hard.
  34.
  35. Removed: On top of normal attacks, each raider gets three Multis and Ults in total for the whole raid, not per floor.
  36. Added: ## Raid levels
  37.
  38. Removed: - A **Multi** hits three random living Mymics, or all of them if three or fewer are left. It hits softer than a normal attack. The penalty depends on the ball's Multiattack orb track: the game shows 22% at level 6 and 17% at level 7. Figures for the other levels haven't been confirmed.
  39. Removed: - An **Ult** hits one Mymic hard. The game doesn't publish how hard.
  40. Added: Raids come in four levels: **Tutor**, **1★**, **2★** and **3★**. 3★ is the hardest. There are no 4★ raids. Tutor raids came with update 5.0 and sit below 1★.
  41.
  42. Removed: A few items change the math. Vinewrapped Scythe reads "Multi-attacks deal 3x damage", and Cursed Tablet reads "Gain 3 Ultimate Attacks". Some bosses care which you use: Vertexia's Visceral Slash is reset by a Multi, and Kivalaian's Black Hole punishes two Ultimates in a row.
  43. Added: A boss is named with its level and floor, like Frogi at 3★ floor 6.
  44.
  45. Removed: ## What makes a hit bigger
  46. Added: ## Mymic ranks
  47.
  48. Removed: A raid hit grows with the ball's CP, its type matchup against the Mymic and its item. The ball attacks with its [primary typing](wiki:primary-typing), so a ball typed Fire and Ice attacks with whichever of the two is its primary. A type that is strong against both of a Mymic's types hits much harder than one that is strong against only one. [Types and matchups](wiki:types-and-matchups) has the chart.
  49. Added: Each Mymic is a **Regular**, an **Elite** or a **Boss**.
  50.
  51. Removed: The Attack orb track adds a Basic Attack bonus in raids of 5% per level, up to 50% at level 10. An item adds its attack number to the hit, typed by the item's resonance. Mymics also carry a hidden resistance value in the game's data, though what it does to damage isn't known, and some are immune to a type outright. The Elite Ithilia and the 3★ boss Vertexia both have Flight, which reads Immune to "Mountain" attacks. The game doesn't publish its raid damage formula, so exact hit sizes aren't known.
  52. Added: - **Elites are not bosses.** Elite N-Balls such as Elite 2-Ball, plus Acee, Backfox, Primal Almaz and Primal Siraj, are Elites.
  53. Added: - **Tomcute and Chistripe are Regulars.** They come with unlockable frames, but they are not bosses.
  54. Added: - **The five Tutors are the only new bosses** from 5.0: Tutor Sharp, Tutor Leviticus, Tutor Coelash, Tutor Tapioca and Tutor Jar.
  55.
  56. Removed: ## Item effects only work here
  57. Added: {{mymics: 10340=Tutor Sharp, 10341=Tutor Leviticus, 10342=Tutor Coelash, 10343=Tutor Tapioca, 10344=Tutor Jar}}
  58.
  59. Removed: Raids are the one place an item's effect line applies. In PvP and alliance wars, an item counts only through its attack and defense numbers.
  60. Added: In a Tutor raid, floor 3 holds Acee or Backfox (Elites) or Tomcute or Chistripe (Regulars), and floor 4 holds a Tutor boss.
  61.
  62. Removed: {{items: 111=A-2000, 181=Blade of Eternal Radiance, 183=Arachnid Claws, 94=Sandspire Crown}}
  63. Added: {{mymics: 10330=Acee, 10331=Backfox, 10009=Tomcute, 10010=Chistripe}}
  64.
  65. Removed: A-2000 has 0 attack and 0 defense and exists for one line, "Execute Mymics below 5% HP". Blade of Eternal Radiance reads "Resonance deals 10x damage to Bosses". Arachnid Claws poisons its target and splits it in two. [Item effects](wiki:item-effects) explains the trigger words, and [Status effects](wiki:status-effects) covers the stacks items put on Mymics.
  66. Added: ## Bosses with a twist
  67.
  68. Removed: ## Mymic ranks
  69. Added: - **Vengeful bosses.** Frogi, Mud, Lotzie and Luna are 3★ bosses. Beating one spawns a Vengeful form of one of the other three, and beating that ends the raid. Luna can spawn two or three.
  70. Added: - **Vertexia, Xterial and Kivalaian** are fought together as one encounter. The lobby boss leads, and only its opening effect is in play.
  71.
  72. Removed: Each Mymic is a Regular, an Elite or a Boss. Elites are not bosses, even when they guard a floor alone: Acee and Backfox on a Tutor raid's floor 3, the Elite N-Balls such as Elite 2-Ball, and Primal Almaz and Primal Siraj are all Elites. Tomcute and Chistripe are Regulars. The five Tutors are the only new bosses that update 5.0 added. [Mymic ranks](wiki:mymic-ranks) has the details.
  73. Added: ## Hitting a Mymic harder
  74.
  75. Removed: ## Bosses with a twist
  76. Added: Raid damage follows CP, then type, then item. Your ball attacks with its primary typing, and a type that is strong against both of a Mymic's types hits much harder. The Attack orb track raises that type bonus and also adds a raid bonus of 5% per level to every hit. Mymics also carry a hidden resistance that cuts damage.
  77.
  78. Removed: Several 3★ bosses do far more than soak damage. Beating Frogi, Mud, Lotzie or Luna spawns a Vengeful form of one of the other three. Vertexia, Xterial and Kivalaian are fought together as one encounter. Nergal, The Conqueror has 8,000,000 HP and a trait that can lose you the raid, and The Shrimp starts with 10,000 HP before rising again with 650,000. [Special bosses](wiki:special-bosses) covers each one, and [Tutor raids](wiki:tutor-raids) covers the beginner level.
  79. Added: Raids are the one mode where **item effects work**: unexhaust, extra damage, execute, statuses and "once per floor" triggers. In PvP and wars an item counts only through its attack and defense. See [Items, tiers and resonance](wiki:items-tiers-resonance).
  80.
  81. ## Drops
  82.
  83. Removed: Each Mymic kill gives every raider in the party their own chance at that Mymic's drops. Who lands the last hit doesn't matter, and more kills of a Mymic mean more chances. The app doesn't show drop chances, though the game's Atlas website lists one per kill for each Mymic's drops. [Drops and drop rates](wiki:drops-and-drop-rates) explains how the odds add up over many kills.
  84. Added: Each Mymic kill gives **one chance at each of its drops**, for each raider in the party. Who lands the last hit doesn't matter. A raid with more kills of a Mymic gives more chances at its drops.
  85.
  86. Removed: Most of what a raid pays out is currencies and Prestige Fragments. Equipment is the rare part.
  87. Added: Some solo dungeon items are a **clear reward**, handed out for finishing the dungeon instead of being a chance per kill.
  88.
  89. Added: Most raid rewards are currencies and Prestige Fragments. Equipment is the rare part.
  90. Added:

This version

A raid, also called a dungeon, is a run of floors of Mymics, the game's monsters. You find raids under Kiosk. Raids are where most items come from.

Floors and parties

An ordinary raid has six floors, with the boss on floor 6. A Tutor raid has its boss on floor 4.

You can go solo or Team Up in a lobby of up to four raiders. Joining from far away needs a Remote Raid Pass, and going in needs a Dungeon Pass.

A Mymic's HP doesn't grow with the party. Four raiders face the same HP as one.

Exhaust

Each raider brings their top 30 balls and fields up to five on a floor. A ball attacks once per raid and is then exhausted, unless an effect unexhausts it. A ball you didn't use on a floor can still be fielded later.

You also get three Multis and Ults in total for the whole raid, not per floor. A Multi hits three random living Mymics, or all of them if three or fewer are left. An Ult hits one Mymic hard.

Raid levels

Raids come in four levels: Tutor, 1★, 2★ and 3★. 3★ is the hardest. There are no 4★ raids. Tutor raids came with update 5.0 and sit below 1★.

A boss is named with its level and floor, like Frogi at 3★ floor 6.

Mymic ranks

Each Mymic is a Regular, an Elite or a Boss.

  • Elites are not bosses. Elite N-Balls such as Elite 2-Ball, plus Acee, Backfox, Primal Almaz and Primal Siraj, are Elites.
  • Tomcute and Chistripe are Regulars. They come with unlockable frames, but they are not bosses.
  • The five Tutors are the only new bosses from 5.0: Tutor Sharp, Tutor Leviticus, Tutor Coelash, Tutor Tapioca and Tutor Jar.

In a Tutor raid, floor 3 holds Acee or Backfox (Elites) or Tomcute or Chistripe (Regulars), and floor 4 holds a Tutor boss.

Bosses with a twist

  • Vengeful bosses. Frogi, Mud, Lotzie and Luna are 3★ bosses. Beating one spawns a Vengeful form of one of the other three, and beating that ends the raid. Luna can spawn two or three.
  • Vertexia, Xterial and Kivalaian are fought together as one encounter. The lobby boss leads, and only its opening effect is in play.

Hitting a Mymic harder

Raid damage follows CP, then type, then item. Your ball attacks with its primary typing, and a type that is strong against both of a Mymic's types hits much harder. The Attack orb track raises that type bonus and also adds a raid bonus of 5% per level to every hit. Mymics also carry a hidden resistance that cuts damage.

Raids are the one mode where item effects work: unexhaust, extra damage, execute, statuses and "once per floor" triggers. In PvP and wars an item counts only through its attack and defense. See Items, tiers and resonance.

Drops

Each Mymic kill gives one chance at each of its drops, for each raider in the party. Who lands the last hit doesn't matter. A raid with more kills of a Mymic gives more chances at its drops.

Some solo dungeon items are a clear reward, handed out for finishing the dungeon instead of being a chance per kill.

Most raid rewards are currencies and Prestige Fragments. Equipment is the rare part.

On polbielytics

  • Raids lists every boss by level with its types, the types to bring, and its drops with per-kill rates.
  • Vengeful bosses has the four Vengeful forms.
  • Each Mymic has its own page, like Frogi.
